Function Description
Specify Coordinates: Indicates moving the object to the specified coordinates.
The Specify Coordinates function is only available when the layer is editable and a geometry is selected.
Function Entrance
- Edit Data Tab -> Feature Editing Group -> General editing -> Move and zoom -> Specify Coordinates
Operation Instructions
- Select the geometry to be moved in an editable layer.
- In the Edit Data tab, click the Specify Coordinates button in the Move and zoom group under the General editing drop-down menu to perform the specify coordinates move object operation.
- The mouse prompt now reads: "Please specify the base point coordinates." Click the mouse at a suitable location on the map or input coordinate values to determine the base point coordinates for the move.
- The mouse prompt now reads: "Please specify target point coordinates." You can move the mouse in the map window or enter X and Y coordinate values in the subsequent parameter input box to determine the target location for the object. While moving the mouse, a preview of the moved object (represented by dashed lines) is displayed in real time on the map. Once confirmed, the selected object will be moved to the specified coordinates.
- To continue moving the object, enter the coordinates for the move again; Press the Esc key or right-click the mouse to end the current operation.
