Specify Offset

Function Description

Specify Offset means to select the base point coordinates and move the object to the specified position by the specified X and Y offsets.

When the layer is editable and Geometry is selected, the Specify Offset function is available.

Function entrance

  • Object Operation tab-> Object Editing group drop-down box-> Specify Offset.

Operating instructions

  1. In the editable layer, select the Geometry you want to move.
  2. On the Object Operation tab, in the Gallery control in the Object Editing group, click the Specify Offset button in the Move Object group.
  3. At this time, the mouse prompts: "Please specify the base point coordinates". Click the mouse in the Map (or press the Tab key to switch and input the X and Y coordinate values, and press the Enter key to confirm the input) to determine the base point coordinates of the movement.
  4. At this time, the mouse prompts: "Please specify target point coordinates", move the mouse in the Map, and the Map will display the preview of the moved object in real time (represented by a dotted line). After determining the coordinates of the target point by clicking the left mouse button (or by entering the X and Y offsets with the Tab key and entering with the Enter key), the selected object will move to the new position according to the specified offset.

  5. To continue with Move Object, enter the coordinates of the base point and target point again; press Esc or right-click to end the current operation.
