Specify Offset
Function Description
Specify Offset means to select the base point coordinates and move the object to the specified position by the specified X and Y offsets.
When the layer is editable and Geometry is selected, the Specify Offset function is available.
Function entrance
- Object Operation tab-> Object Editing group drop-down box-> Specify Offset.
Operating instructions
- In the editable layer, select the Geometry you want to move.
- On the Object Operation tab, in the Gallery control in the Object Editing group, click the Specify Offset button in the Move Object group.
- At this time, the mouse prompts: "Please specify the base point coordinates". Click the mouse in the Map (or press the Tab key to switch and input the X and Y coordinate values, and press the Enter key to confirm the input) to determine the base point coordinates of the movement.
- At this time, the mouse prompts: "Please specify target point coordinates", move the mouse in the Map, and the Map will display the preview of the moved object in real time (represented by a dotted line). After determining the coordinates of the target point by clicking the left mouse button (or by entering the X and Y offsets with the Tab key and entering with the Enter key), the selected object will move to the new position according to the specified offset.
- To continue with Move Object, enter the coordinates of the base point and target point again; press Esc or right-click to end the current operation.
