Resampling
Function Description
The Object Editing group on the Object Operation tab provides functions to process boundary lines of Line or Region, mainly for resampling and smoothing.
When there are too many nodes on the boundary line of Line or Region, resample it with the Resample button to remove some nodes while keeping the shape of the line as much as possible.
- The controls in the Object Editing group are available only when there are selected Geometry (Line and Region) in editable layers in the Map.
- For a description of the principle of resampling and resampling results, see: Line Object Resampling Description .
- When resampling parametric curves such as arcs, Free Curves, Bezier Curves, B-Spline curves, and so on, the curves are first converted to line segments, and then the converted line segments are resampled. Note: Resampling is not supported for parametric curves in CAD Dataset.
Function entrance
- Object Operation tab-> Object Editing group drop-down box-> Resampling.
Operating instructions
- Make the Layer Settings of the Geometry (Line or Region) to be resampled in the Map editable.
- Select the Geometry (Line or Region) to be resampled. You can press and hold the Shift or Ctrl key at the same time to select multiple geometries continuously.
- In the Gallery control of the Object Editing group on the Object Operation tab, click the Resampling button to bring up the Resampling Settings dialog.
- In the Resampling Method drop-down box, select the appropriate Resampling Method, and enter the tolerance value in the text box to the right of Sampling Tolerance. The default value is 0.4. Apply this method to resample Line or Region.
- To resample Geometry in other layers in the Map, repeat steps 1 through 4 above.
- Click the OK button to resample the selected Geometry.
Caution:
When Multi-Layer Editing is started, you can resample multiple Lines and Regions in multiple editable layers at the same time.
