Line turning point
Function Description
Converts selected line objects to point objects and saves them in the Point Dataset or CAD Dataset.
When a line object is converted into a point object, the All Node in the line object will be directly saved as a point object, as shown in the following figure. Figure 1 shows the line object to be converted, and Figure 2 shows the point object saved in the point or CAD Dataset after conversion.

Function entrance
- Object Operation tab-> Object Editing group drop-down box-> Line Transition Point.
Operating instructions
- Open the Line Dataset to the map, and select one or more line objects in the current line layer selectable state.
- In the Gallery control of the Object Editing group on the Object Operation tab, click the Line to Point button to pop up the Line to Point dialog:
- In the dialog box, select the Target Datasource and Dataset to save the new point object. There are two ways to save Result Data: save to the existing Dataset or create a new Point Dataset to save. The Parameter Settings in the dialog box are as follows:
- Target Data source: Set the Datasource of the Dataset to which the Result Data will be saved.
- Target Dataset: Select an existing point or CAD Dataset to store the newly generated point object.
- Create Dataset: Select the Create Dataset check box to set the name of the Create Dataset and save the newly generated point object to the newly created Point Dataset.
- Delete Source Object: If the selected line Object layer is editable, select the Delete Source Object check box to delete Select Objects from the Source Dataset.
- Click the OK button to complete the Convert to Point operation for the line object.
