Auto-Close Lines
Feature Description
Auto-close Lines command is used to automatically close features when drawing polylines, curves, polylines, or free curves.
The drawn line feature must have at least three vertices. Therefore, features like polylines, elliptical arcs, three-point arcs, Cardinal curves, Bezier curves, and B-spline curves support the auto-close lines function, while straight lines do not support automatic closure.
Feature Entry
- Features tab -> Feature Drawing group -> Drawing Settings drop-down menu -> Auto-close Lines.
Steps
- In the Features tab's Feature Drawing group, click the Drawing Settings drop-down button, select Auto-close Lines from the menu; or use the Shift+C shortcut to enable the auto-close lines function. To disable this function, click the option again.
- When drawing line features, right-click to finish drawing - this will automatically connect the first and last vertices of the line to form a closed feature.
