Compact/Copy Data source.

Compress Datasource

Used for batch compression of single or multiple Datasources to reduce the amount of data and occupy less disk space. This function is valid for UDB/UDBX File Database.

Function entrance

  • Select the Datasource to be compressed in Workspace Manager, click the right mouse button, and select the Compress Datasource item in the pop-up Context Menu.
  • Toolbox-> Data Management-> Data Maintenance-> Compress Datasource.
Hint:
During

the execution of Compress Datasource operation, the Compress Datasource dialog box will pop up to prompt the progress of compression. After the operation is completed, the operation result (success or failure) will be prompted in the Output Window.

Copy Datasource

Sets all Copy Datasors from a Source Datasource to a Target Datasource.

Function entrance

Right-click a Datasource node to be copied in Workspace Manager, and select the Copy Datasource command in the pop-up Context Menu.

Parameter Description

  • Keep Projection: It is used to set whether to keep the projection of Target Datasource unchanged during Copy Datasource, that is, to keep the original Projection after copying. This check box is checked by default, that is, when Copy Datasource, the Target Datasource remains unchanged, otherwise the projection of the Target Datasource becomes the projection of the Source Datasource.
  • Copy Structure Only: Used to set whether to Copy Datasource is Copy Structure Only, that is, to control whether to only Copy Dataset's Table Structure. It does not copy any of the Geometry's graphics and attribute data. This check box is not checked by default, that is, All Data of the Source Dataset can be copied to the corresponding Dataset of the Target Datasource during Copy Datasource. Otherwise, Copy Structure Only.
  • Advanced Settings: In the Advanced Settings area, the All Data set in Source Datasource is listed. Set which Source Datasets are copied to the Target Datasource. You can also Renames the default name of the Target Dataset in the Target Dataset key.
