Feature Description

To modify standard S-57 (000 file) chart data, users must first convert the read-only dataset group to an editable type. After importing data into , the dataset group remains read-only and requires conversion for editing data information.

Steps

This section details the process using CN5JYSD1_12000 read-only chart data conversion as an example:

1. In the Chart Datasource Manager, right-click the "CN5JYSD1_12000" group node and select "Generate Editable Chart Group". Alternatively, go to the "Start" Tab > "Chart Data" group > click the "Convert Group" drop-down button > select "Generate Editable Chart Group" to open the conversion dialog:

2. Click the drop-down button beside "Target datasource" to specify storage location for the converted editable dataset group.
3. Select a feature identifier sequence from the drop-down button beside "Feature Identifier Sequence", then configure the "Feature Identifier Distinction Number".
4. Click "OK" to complete conversion. The target datasource will contain a new CN5JYSD1 group - an editable version of CN5JYSD1_12000.
