Prepare the terrain data to generate terrain tiles, and make the terrain data become a raster dataset in the datasource. In the sample data provided with the product, we will create terrain tiles for the JingjinTerrain dataset in the Jingjin datasource.

After generating tiles for terrain data, the tile configuration file will have the *.sct extension. The sizes (sampling sizes) include 256*256 pixels, 128*128 pixels, and 64*64 pixels.
