Open Symbol Library Window

In the application, the symbol library window has two forms of expression. One is the "Selector" window primarily used for loading, browsing, and managing symbol library files. The other is the "Style Settings" window, which allows configuration of point, line, and area object styles while also supporting symbol library file operations. These two symbol library windows share essentially identical interfaces and operational methods, and will not be further elaborated unless specific differences exist.

There are several methods to open the symbol library window:

  1. Open Symbol Library window from Workspace Manager:
  2. In Workspace Manager, expand the Resources node containing three sub-nodes: Marker Symbol Library, Line Library, and Fill Library - managing point symbols, line symbols, and fill symbols respectively. The symbol library window can be accessed through the context menu of any sub-node.

  3. Open Style Settings window from Layer Manager:
  4. In Layer Manager, double-click the symbol icon of any layer node to open the Style Settings window.

  5. Open Style Settings window from ribbon's Style Settings tab:
  6. The Style Settings tab associated with maps (or layouts) on the ribbon enables configuration of marker styles for map layers (or layout elements), with the Style Settings window automatically opening during marker style adjustments.

  7. Other methods:
  8. Beyond the aforementioned approaches, additional methods exist for accessing symbol library windows. For instance, the Style Settings window appears during thematic map creation/modification when configuring element styles, and Symbol Library windows can also be accessed through object style configuration interfaces.
