Create Graduated Color Thematic Map

Feature Description

The graduated color thematic map can create a template-based graduated color thematic map based on the current vector layer. provides several templates including Default, Population Distribution, Construction Land, and Temperature Distribution. Creating graduated color thematic maps using thematic map templates not only simplifies operations but also facilitates batch mapping requirements, enabling thematic template reuse.

When using templates, ensure the thematic map field expressions exist. If the current layer lacks the thematic map fields specified in the template, a dialog will prompt: "Thematic map cannot display properly because the expression does not exist. Please specify the expression." Users can use the template to create thematic maps after re-specifying fields.

Steps

  1. Select a target vector layer in Layer Manager for creating graduated color thematic map.
  2. Right-click the selected vector layer in Layer Manager, choose "Create Thematic Map..." from the context menu, or select a graduated color thematic map template from the "Ranges" group under the "Thematic Map" tab to create based on template style.
  3. The template-created graduated color thematic map will automatically display as a thematic layer in the current map window, with corresponding layer added in Layer Manager.
  4. Both system-built and user-defined thematic map templates load in the "Create Thematic Map" dialog. Manage them through Template Manager. See: "Manage Thematic Map Template".
