Feature Description

Specify Offset allows selecting base point coordinates to move objects to specified positions according to defined X and Y offsets.

This function is only available when the layer is editable and a geometry is selected.

Feature Entry

• Features Tab->Feature Editing group dropdown list->Specify Offset.

Steps

1. Select the target geometry in an editable layer.
2. Click the Specify Offset button in the Move Object group of the Gallery control under the Features tab's Feature Editing group.
3. When the cursor prompts: "Please specify the base point coordinates", click on the map (or switch via the Tab key and input X/Y coordinate values, then press Enter) to define the base point.
4. When the cursor prompts: "Please specify target point coordinates", move the cursor on the map. A real-time preview of the moved object (shown with dashed lines) will be displayed. Left-click (or input X/Y offsets via the Tab key and press Enter) to confirm target coordinates. The selected object will move to the new position according to specified offsets.

   

5. To continue moving objects, input new base and target points. Press Esc or right-click to end the current operation.
