Function Description

Specify Offset indicates selecting the base point coordinates, and moving the object to the specified position according to the given X offset and Y offset.

When the layer is editable, the Specify Offset function is only available after selecting the geometry.

Function Access

  • Edit Data tab -> Feature Editing group -> General editing -> Move and zoom -> Specify Offset

Operation Instructions

  1. In an editable layer, select the geometry to be moved.
  2. In the Edit Data tab, under the General editing drop-down menu, click the Specify Offset button in the Move and zoom group.
  3. At this point, the mouse prompt shows: "please specify the base point coordinates". Click the mouse on the map (or switch using the Tab key and enter the X and Y coordinate values, then press Enter to confirm) to specify the base point coordinates for moving.
  4. At this point, the mouse prompt shows: "please specify target point coordinates". After that, the selected object will be moved to the new position according to the specified offsets.
