SuperMap iDesktopX supports importing *.gml data compliant with S-127 specifications into file database, database datasource (PostGIS or DMPlus) or ems datasource. Note that the target datasource for S-127 data import must not be read-only.

Operation Instructions

1. Open or create a datasource in the workspace to store *.gml files.
2. Select the target datasource for nautical chart data import, then choose Import Nautical Chart Data->S-127 from the context menu; Alternatively, select the target datasource and navigate to Start Tab->Data Processing group->Data Import dropdown->Chart-> select S-127.
3. In the Import Nautical Chart Data dialog, select one or multiple S-127 *.gml files and click Open.
4. The selected files will be listed with the following editable parameters:
   • Source file: Displays the imported *.gml file name.
   • Source data: Shows the path of imported chart data.
   • Feature encoding file: Displays the corresponding feature encoding file for the source data. Double-click the cell to modify the encoding file path.
   • Target datasource: Shows the target datasource name. Select other datasources in the current workspace via dropdown.
5. After configuring parameters, click the Import button to complete S-127 chart data import.
