Instructions for use
In addition to using SuperMap's own data format, we also need to operate a variety of external data formats when we deal with GIS. The Data Conversion function provides conversion between different data formats, and supports multiple data formats well.
The Data Import toolbox provides the function of importing data in all formats supported by Application. There are more than 40 data formats that can be imported. The Data Types that can be imported are abundant. It is convenient for users to import GIS or non-GIS data of other software to the desktop for application. Supported Data Types are: AutoCAD data, ArcGIS data, MapGIS data, MapInfo data, Spread sheet, Image Raster Data, Model data, Lidar data, Google data, Vector File, GeoJson, SimpleJson, GJB, Telecom Data, etc.
Remark
- The default Target Datasource for each import is the first non-read-only Datasource in the Datasource collection selected in Workspace Manager; If the user does not select any Datasource in Workspace Manager, the default Target Datasource for each import is the first non-read-only Datasource in the Datasource collection.
- If the All Data source in the current Workspace Manager is read-only, the Import ribbon is grayed out and unavailable.
- If the user selects more than one Raster File or Vector File at the same time in the list box, the File Parameter Settings area of the "Data Import" area displays the Parameter Settings item according to the last selected data format.
- If the user selects both Raster Data and Vector Data in the list box, only public parameters are displayed in the File Parameter Settings area of the Data Import "area.
- After Data Import, the coordinate system of Dataset is consistent with the Data Source Coordinate System by default.
- Note on importing schemas: Importing schemas results slightly differently when importing vectors and Raster Data.
- Over write mode: In both modes, the original Dataset with the same name is deleted and replaced with the newly imported data.
- Add Mode: For Vector Dataset, append is to directly add the imported data to the existing Dataset with the same name; for grid or Image Dataset, append is actually to update the overlapping area of two data with the same name. For a detailed description of Dataset appending, see Dataset Append.
In particular, the Add Mode and Overwrite modes are used in the presence of a Dataset of the same name. In the actual operation process, please use them differently.
