Geographic Entity 2D Encoding

Feature Description

The basic geographic entity is the core achievement in the new foundational surveying and mapping product system and a key driver for the transformation and upgrading of foundational surveying and mapping work. The spatial identity code for basic geographic entities is an identification code applicable to basic geographic entity management and applications, featuring characteristics such as enabling global unique identification, unique identifiers, and information association and sharing for basic geographic entities. Constructing spatial identity codes can effectively improve the standardized management of basic geographic entity data and provide more useful and convenient surveying, mapping, and geographic information services for various applications.

The geographic entity encoding paradigm adopts a three-segment division of "Proprietary Identification Domain + Standard Domain + Extension Domain". The "Standard Domain" consists of a 2D/3D location code + classification code + sequence code, used to achieve unique identification of basic geographic entities. This method generates a corresponding 2D location code for each geometry in the dataset. For detailed subdivision and encoding methods, please refer to the "Basic Geographic Entity Spatial Identity Encoding Rules".

Parameter Description

Parameter Name Default Value Parameter Interpretation Parameter Type
Source Dataset   The vector dataset to be encoded, supporting point, line, polygon, 3D point/line/polygon, and model dataset types. Only datasets with a geographic coordinate system are supported. DatasetVector
Two-Dimensional Position Code Field Name
(Optional)
GeoEntity_2D_Code Specifies the field name for storing the 2D grid location code. This field must not already exist in the source dataset. String

Output Result

If execution is successful, a new field named "GeoEntity_2D_Code" will be added to the source dataset to store the 26-digit 2D location code of the geographic entity.
