Water Area Settings

Usage Instructions

This tool is used to construct water area configuration parameters, setting the water raster, the maximum water elevation, and the feathering parameters between the water area and the terrain.

This tool is not used independently; it needs to be used in conjunction with tools such as Multi-Resolution Terrain Merge.

This tool is available starting from SuperMap iDesktopX 2026.

Parameter Descriptions

Parameter Name Parameter Description Parameter Type
Raster Dataset Input water raster dataset. If this parameter is empty or not set, the water area configuration parameters will be invalid. Dataset
Maximum Elevation
(Optional)
The upper limit of water elevation, used to flatten the water surface and eliminate abnormal high points. If the elevation of the water raster is higher than this value, it will be automatically set to the upper limit. Double
Feather Coefficient
(Optional)
Sets the feathering distance between the water area and the terrain. The default value is 10.0, in meters. If not set or left empty, no feathering is applied. The feather coefficient can be used to control the transition width at the land-water boundary, and can be adjusted based on the water raster resolution and terrain characteristics. For example, if the water raster resolution is high and the terrain is a steep coast, the feather coefficient can be set to a low value. Double
