3DGS Singulation Setting

Instructions

This tool is used to set up the information of the discretization regions for performing discretization processing on 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) data.

This tool is not used independently. It needs to be used in conjunction with other tools such as Build 3DGS Tiles and Convert Daspatio Algs to S3M.

Parameter Description

Discretization Dataset The input data is a 2D/3D region dataset or model dataset, used to achieve 3DGS discretization. When the 3DGS data converted to S3M data is in a projected coordinate system, the coordinate system of the discretization dataset must be consistent with it.
  • Discretization using a 2D/3D region dataset: The closed volume formed by extruding the region object along the Z-axis intersects with the 3DGS data, and the intersected part is treated as a single discretized object.
  • Discretization using a model dataset: The model object intersects with the 3DGS data, and the intersected part is treated as a single discretized object.
