The Layer template records information such as Layer Properties, Layer Style, and theme settings, which is actually a *.xml file that records the Attributes set at the "Layer Properties" panel of the template layer. As well as the layer's point, line, and face Marker Style, size, and color, making it easy to apply that information to other layers.
SuperMap supports loading layer templates to other layers for use, and supports saving the setting information of the current Layer Properties as a Template File to facilitate the application of the information to other maps.
Load Layer Properties Template
- Function Entry: Right click the layer node in Layer Manager, and select the "Load" option of "Layer Property Template" in the pop-up Context Menu;
- In the pop-up "Load Template" dialog box, select the Layer Property Template (*.xml file) to be loaded, and click the "Open" button in the dialog box. Applies to the current layer according to the Layer Properties information in the Template File.
- After Load Layer Properties Template, the Layer Properties that the layer has in common with the template layer will match the template settings.
Precautions
- After Load Layer Properties Template, the Layer Caption will not be changed.
- If the Dataset corresponding to the current layer is inconsistent with the Dataset in the property template, the Property Settings related to the Dataset Field will not take effect, and the Dataset Field needs to be Changed. Such as the Display Filter object, the Display Order field, the Layer Join Attribute table, and so on.
Output the layer properties template
Output the layer properties template, which is used to store the layer properties in a *.xml file format on a medium other than Workspace, that is, as a Layer Property Template.

- Right click the layer node in Layer Manager, and select the "Output" option of "Layer Property Template" in the pop-up Context Menu.
