Map Operation

Open Map

When an existing Workspace is opened, the map saved by Current Workspace will be displayed under the Workspace Manager Map node. Users can open any map under the Map node through Open Map and Add to Current Map.

Open Map

  • Right click a map under the map node in Works pace Manager, select Open Map in the pop-up Context Menu, and the selected map will be displayed in the new Map.
  • In Workspace Manager, select the map under Map Node and double-click to open the map in a new Map.
  • Open multiple maps at one time: press and hold the Ctrl key, select multiple map nodes in Workspace Manager, right-click the mouse, and select Open Map in the pop-up Context Menu to open and display the selected maps in multiple maps. Each map is displayed separately in a Map.

Add to Current Map

  • Right click a map under the map node in Works pace Manager, select Add to Current Map in the pop-up Context Menu, and the selected map will be displayed in the currently opened map. Easily and quickly merge multiple maps into the same map. The newly added map adds a new Layer Group in the Layer Manager window, which is the All Layers of the new Add Map.
  • You can also open multiple maps in one Map by dragging the map to the Open Map window.

Create Map

Function Entry

  • Right click the map node in Works pace Manager and select Create Map Window in the pop-up Context Menu.
  • Start tab-> Browse-> Map button. The map Drop-down Button consists of two parts, one is the button part, click this part to execute the function of the first item in the drop-down menu; the other is the Drop-down Button part, click this part to pop up the drop-down menu, and select the item in the drop-down menu to realize the corresponding function.

The following describes in detail the functions and operation modes realized after each item in the Map drop-down menu:

Create Map Window

Click to select the Create Map Window item, create a new blank Map, and select the Dataset to be loaded to be displayed in the Map.

Add to New Map

Add to New Map is used to display the selected Spatial Data in a new Map. The specific operation is as follows.

    Select the Dataset to browse Spatial Data
  1. in Workspace Manager. You can select multiple Datasets at the same time with the Shift or Ctrl key (Dataset cannot be selected across Datasource);
  2. Click to select the Add to New Map option to create a new Map and add the selected Dataset to the Map for display.

Add to Current Map

If the currently active window is a Map, Add to Current Map is used to add the selected Spatial Data to the Map for display. The specific operation is as follows.

    Select the Dataset to browse Spatial Data
  1. in Workspace Manager. You can select multiple Datasets at the same time with the Shift or Ctrl key (Dataset cannot be selected across Datasource);
  2. Click to select the Add to Current Map option, and the selected Dataset will be added to the Map for display.

Precautions

  • The user can perform various operations in Map, such as Add Data, Edit Data, decorate data, and analyze data, and can save all displayed contents in Map as a map. The map must be saved to Workspace before the Workspace is saved. Only in this way can map be finally saved, and when the Workspace is opened again, the map content saved before can be obtained.
  • When the current Map is closed, a dialog box will pop up to prompt the user whether to save the current Map. If you click Yes and the map in the current Map is an existing map, the contents in the Map will be directly saved to the map, and only the Workspace will be saved. The map can finally be preserved.
  • When the current Map is closed, a dialog box will pop up to prompt the user whether to save the current Map. If you click Yes and the map in the current Map is saved for the first time, the Save Map as dialog box will pop up. Enter the name of the map to save the map in the current Map. At the same time, a new node will be added under the map set node of Workspace Manager, corresponding to the map just saved. This method only saves the map in Workspace. Only when the Workspace is saved, the map can be finally saved.

Delete Map

The Delete Map command removes the map from the map collection in Workspace.

Function Entry

Right-click the map you want to delete in

Works pace Manager and select Delete Map in the pop-up Context Menu.

Precautions

  • You can select multiple maps at the same time in Workspace Manager, right-click the mouse, and select the Delete Map command in the pop-up Context Menu (also the Context Menu of the map). Multiple selected maps can be deleted at one time.
  • You can also Delete Map by
  • pressing the Delete key.

Rename the map

The Rename command is used to change the name of the map.

Function Entry

  • Right click the map to be renamed, and click Rename in the pop-up Context Menu. The Show Name of the map node becomes editable. At this point, type a new Map Name. After modifying the name, click anywhere in the Application interface or press the "Enter" key to complete the modification of Map Name.
  • Rename Map can also be implemented by selecting the map to be renamed in
  • Workspace Manager and pressing F2.

Save Map

The Save Map command is used to save the map in the current Map.

Function Entry

Make the object not selected in the current Map. Click the right mouse button in Map and select the Save Map command in the Context Menu.

  • If Current Map is a new map, the Save Map dialog box will pop up, enter the name of the new map in the dialog box, and then click the OK button. After the

    map is saved, a new map node will be added under the map collection node in Workspace Manager. This node corresponds to the map just saved.

  • If Current Map is an existing map in Workspace, changes to the map are saved directly to Current Map.

Note: If Current Map is a map that has been saved (not modified) in Workspace, the Save Map command is grayed out and cannot be selected.

Save Map as

The Save Map as command is used to Save Map as a new map.

Function Entry

  • Right-click the map in Works pace Manager and click the Save Map as item in the pop-up Context Menu.

    In the displayed Save Map as dialog box, enter the name of the new map, and click OK to add a new map corresponding to the map just saved under the map set node in Workspace Manager.

  • Make the object not selected in the current Map. Click the right mouse button in Map and select the Save Map as command in the Context Menu.

Maps Sort

The Sort by Name command is used to sort all the maps in the map collection. It is essentially to sort all the maps under the map collection node by their Show Name, so as to facilitate browsing and searching for maps.

Function Entry

Right-click the map aggregation node in

Works pace Manager and select the Sort by Name command in the pop-up Context Menu.
