Generate Dom data

Instructions for use

DOM (Digital Orthophoto Map), namely digital orthophoto map, is a kind of Image Data generated by using data technology to process aerial photographs or Remote Sensing Imagery to eliminate topographic relief images and crop them according to a certain Map Range. DOM information is more intuitive, with good legibility and measurability, from which physical geography, social and economic information can be directly extracted.

The Generate DOM function can generate the S3MTile Data in the current scene as DOM data, that is, generate *. Tiff Image Data according to the data indexed by *.scp files.

Function entrance

  • 3D Analysis Tab-> OSGB Group-> Generate DOM

Operation steps

  1. New Scene or open the existing scene, and load the S3MTile Data to Generate DOM through the Load 3D Tiles function.
  2. On the OSGB group of the 3D Analysis tab, click the Generate DOM button to bring up the Generate DOM "dialog.
  3. Set the scope in the Select Range "in the dialog box, including Layer Bounds and Custom Bounds. The specific operations are as follows:
    • Layer Bounds: Click to select the Layer Bounds "radio box to set the union of the All Layers range in the current scene as the Result Data range;

    • Resolution: It is used to set the resolution of the generated DOM data. The unit is meter/pixel, and the default is 1.
    • Camera Height: It is used to set the camera height for generating DOM data. The lower the camera height is, the more detailed the buildings can be seen. It is recommended that the value of this parameter is not less than maximum height of the objects in the scene.
    • File Name: Save path and name for setting the resulting TIFF data. You can directly enter the save path and name of the *.tiff file in the text box, or click the Open button on the right to set the save path and name of the Result Data in the pop-up Save dialog box.
