Create CAD Objects

Instructions for use

2D and 3D CAD Objects can be created in the scene.

Caution:

Currently, Desktop 3D GIS Rendering Engine V2 does not support the creation of CAD Objects.

Operation steps

Take polygons in CAD format as an example to show how to draw CAD Objects. As shown in the following figure, CADRegion3D is drawn.

  1. In the Current Workspace, create a new CAD Dataset and Add to New Scene.
  2. In Layer Manager, click the CAD 3D Face Layer Editable icon to make it editable.
  3. On the Object Drawing tab, in the CAD Objects group, click the group dialog button, click the 3D Face button, and the drawing cursor appears in the scene.
  4. Move Stop by Mouse to the Scene and click the left mouse button to determine the starting position of the polygon.
  5. Continue to Draw other segments on the Polygon.
  6. Click the right mouse button to close the polygon and end the current drawing operation.
