Instructions for use

Bulletin boards are used to display and transmit information. The "billboard" function is to draw a billboard on the KML Layer.

The drawing of the billboard involves the setting of a picture and a text, wherein the anchor point of the billboard is at the bottom center position, and the picture anchor point is at the upper left corner.

Operation steps

1. Create a new Spherical Scene, right click Normal Layer "in the layer management, and select Load KML Layer".
2. Click the icon in front of the KML Layer or right click the loaded KML Layer and select "Editable" to set the Layer Settings to the editable mode.
3. In the "Billboard" group on the "Object Drawing" tab, click the "New" button to pop up the "New Billboard" dialog box, as shown below:

   

   • Image Path: Click the folder icon on the right and select the path of the background image of the billboard.
   • Text: Add the Text Content to be displayed on the billboard.
4. Click "OK", click the mouse to obtain the position where the bulletin board is placed, and create a new bulletin board. The new results of the demonstration billboard are as follows:

   

Caution:

• Billboard New is only for KML Layer. The KML Layer must be set to editable mode to activate the billboard creation feature.
• Currently, Desktop 3D GIS Rendering Engine V2 does not support KML Layer for adding billboards.
