Manage Center Stop

A central point is a discrete facility point in Network Data that has the ability to receive or provide resources and is located at a node. For example, schools have educational resources, and students must go to school to study. A school can be regarded as a central point; a retail warehouse is used to store the goods needed by the retail outlets, and the goods need to be delivered to the retail outlets every day. Like this, the organization that stores certain resources and can provide services to people can be regarded as the central point. The center point is actually a node in the network layer, which can be designated as the center point through a field or in the analysis process.

The Manage Center Stop window is used to manage the center points of Location-Allocation in a unified way, including setting the relevant information of the center points (resource amount, maximum resistance value, Center Type, etc.), importing/exporting the center points, etc.

When Location-Allocation analysis is performed, the center point needs to be set. In the Location-Allocation Instance Management window, select the "Center Point" directory node, right click the mouse, and select the "Manage Center Stop" item in the pop-up Context Menu. The Manage Center Stop "dialog box pops up.

Operation steps

  1. Import center point: In the "Manage Center Stop" window, click the "Import" button in the toolbar to pop up the "Import center point" dialog box, and set the imported center point parameters in the dialog box.
    • Set the source data parameters to be imported. Select the Datasource and Dataset where the center point data is to be imported. If you need to Data Import points that meet certain conditions, you can use Filter to filter the imported center points.
    • Set the center point parameters by selecting the Center Stop Name (text type), the Maximum Resistance field (integer type), and the Center Type field. Application reads each attribute of the center point from Set fields.
  2. Export center point: Export as Point dataset the center point information.
  3. Modify Center Point Attribute: Modify the center point attributes (Max Weight and Center Type). In the center point list area, select the attribute cell to be modified, and directly enter Max Weight or select Center Type.
  4. United Value Settings: Modify the properties of the selected center point uniformly. The specific operation is as follows:

    1) In the central point list area, select the row where the central point whose attribute needs to be modified is located;

    2) In the toolbar, click the "United Value Settings" button to pop up the "United Value Settings" dialog box. In the dialog box, select the attribute to be assigned and assign it. Properties that can be United Value Settings include the maximum drag radius of all center points and the Center Type.

Precautions

  • In Location-Allocation analysis, Center Type can be divided into Fix Center, Center, and Non-Center. In Resource Allocation analysis, Center Type can only be set as Fix Center and Non-Center, but not as Center.
