Output property sheet
SuperMap iDesktopX supports Save as Dataset or saving property sheets as Excel files.
Save as Dataset
Function Description
The Save as Dataset is that the Spatial Info or the attribute Output Information stored in the Vector Dataset attribute table is New Dataset or Tabular Dataset, Or change the attribute Output Information of the pure table to the new Tabular Dataset.
Function entrance
- Property Sheet tab-> Output group-> Save as Dataset button.
- TabularContext Menu->Save as Dataset。
Operating instructions
- In the opened property sheet, select the record row to be output (as long as one cell in the record row is selected, the record row is selected). You can use the Ctrl or Shift key to select.
- On the Output group of the Property Sheet tab, click the Save as Dataset button to display the Save as Dataset dialog. The Parameter Description of the
dialog is as follows:
- Select Fields: Save the selected field values in the Save As Dataset.
- Datasource: Datasource saved by the output Result Dataset.
- Dataset: The name of the output Result Dataset.
- Result Dataset Type: Set whether the property sheet of Vector Dataset is output as New Dataset or Tabular Dataset. If the current property sheet is the property sheet of the Vector Dataset, the type of the Dataset is the same as the type of the Dataset when it is output as the New Dataset; If the current property sheet is a property sheet of a Tabular Dataset, it can only be output as a Tabular Dataset.
- Encode Type: When the property sheet of Vector Dataset is output as New Dataset, the Encode Type of Dataset can be reset.
Caution:
- When outputting the attribute table of Vector Dataset (except Point Dataset) as New Dataset, the system provides four Vector Data compression Encode types for the user to select: single byte, double byte, three bytes and four bytes. Refers to storing as one coordinate value using 1, 2, 3, and 4 bytes, respectively. The user can select a Vector Data Compression method according to actual needs.
- After setting the parameters, the generated Result Dataset will be displayed under the node of its saved Datasource in Workspace Manager.

- In the
- Save As Dataset window, all Non-system Fields in the attribute table will be checked by default:
- If the Result Dataset name entered by the user in the Save as Dataset dialog box is illegal, the system will prompt the user to modify the Resulting dataset name.
- Users can open the property sheet or Tabular Dataset of several Datasets at the same time, but only the property sheet or Tabular Dataset displayed in the current Tabular can be output.
Save as Excel
Function Description
Save as Excel is used to save a Vector Dataset or a pure Tabular Dataset property sheet as Excel. When you save a Dataset as Excel, you can save the entire property sheet as Excel, or you can save only the selected records.
Function entrance
- Property Sheet tab-> Output group-> Save as Excel button.
- TabularContext Menu->Save as Excel。
Operating instructions
- In the opened property sheet, select the record row to be output (as long as one cell in the record row is selected, the record row is selected). You can use the Ctrl or Shift key to select.
- On the Output group of the Property Sheet tab, click the Save as Excel button to display the Save as Excel dialog. The Parameter Description in the
dialog box is as follows:
- Field List: Check the field to be output in the field list. You can select through the functions of Select All, Select Inversely, Select System Field and Select UnSystem Field in the toolbar. Non-system Field: is checked by default.
- File Info: Select the path of Output Result Excel and the name of Excel, and select the character set type of Excel.
- Only Selected Records Saved: if this check box is selected, only the selected records will be saved as Excel; if this check box is not selected, all records will be saved as Excel.
- After setting the parameters, you can export the property sheet to Excel.

- The user can open the property sheet or Tabular Dataset of several Datasets at the same time, but only the property sheet or Tabular Dataset displayed in the current Tabular can be saved as Excel.
