Instructions for use
The S-58 standard, the ENC data validity test standard, was developed and promulgated by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). S-58 standard includes five parts: ENC data structure check, ENC product specification check, ECDIS related check, ENC object category use check and special object category attribute check. S-58 standard is an international standard to check whether ENC data is compatible with S-57 standard and ENC product specification. Through S-58 check, the consistency of data can be maintained in the process of exchange and transmission.
The Check Data provided by the SuperMap Chart Module verifies the Chart Data according to the S-58 standard of version 4.2 issued by IHO in 2011. In addition to Check Data, other necessary checks can be performed. When a new Chart Data is produced or the existing Chart Data is corrected, it is impossible and impossible to check all operations in real time during the editing process. Therefore, after editing the Chart Data, Check Data must be carried out and corrected according to Errors until there is no error. In order to ensure that Chart Data can exchange and transmit data formats according to international standards, and minimize the impact of data errors on the safety of navigation.
It should be noted that the chain node Topology must be created before the Chart Check Data. If the data has been modified, you need to Build Topological Relationships again.
The Chart Check Data provided by SuperMap currently includes not only the Check Data under the S-58 specification, but also a part of the checks defined by SuperMap as necessary.
Operation steps
- Open a Editable Chart Group to Map, click the Check Data Drop-down Button in the Data Check and Topology group on the Chart tab, and select Check Data.
- Check the contents to be checked in the Check Items column and the Topology Check column. All options of Check Items are checked by default.
- Check Items:
- Data Coverage: Check whether the coverage of feature object is consistent with that of meta object.
- Duplicate Objects: check whether there are Duplicate Objects with the same attribute and Geometry for the same feature Object Type, except the water depth point.
- Illegal attribute value: Check whether the attribute value of the feature object is valid.
- Illegal related objects: Checks whether all set feature objects contain two or more feature object objects.
- Depth range and boundary errors: Check if DEPCNT (VALDCO) is collinear with the DEPARE of the face class and there is no linear DEPARE, whether the attribute value is: maximum DRVAL2 & gt; VALDCO > Minimum DRVAL1, and minimum DRVAL2 = VALDCO = smallest DRVAL1.
- Required attribute error: Checks whether all required attributes are non-empty.
- Master-slave relationship error: Check whether the relationship between all slave objects referenced by the master object and all master-slave objects is correct.
- Illegal feature object: Check whether the relationship between the feature object and the space Geometry is illegal.
- Illegal sounding information: Check whether the information of the water depth point is illegal.
- Topology Check:
- Illegal complex regional object: Checks whether all area feature object objects contain multiple island parts.
- Line object with fake nodes: Checks whether the line object has fake nodes.
- Redundant node object: Checks line objects for redundant nodes. Self-intersecting
- objects: Checks for the presence of surface and line feature object objects that do not self-intersect with boundary and space line objects. Self-overlapping
- objects: Checks that objects of the same type of face feature do not overlap.
- Sub-object separation line object: Check whether all linear feature object nodes are continuous.
- Check Items:
- If Topology Check is checked, click the ".." button on the right side of the check item, and check the object to be checked in the object selection dialog box.
- After selecting the check item, click OK in the Check Data dialog box.
- The Check Data panel pops up and displays related Errors, including Errors list, Related objects, automatic Remove redundant nodes function, S-58 information, etc.
- Errors List: Errors can be displayed by check item, or Show All. Error number, object ID and Object Abbre viation can be listed for each error. When an Errors is selected, the corresponding object is highlighted in the Map and the Display Center.
- Related objects: Each Error has one or more related objects. The related objects corresponding to the Error are listed here.
- Automatically Remove redundant nodes: After selecting one or more records in the Errors list, click this function to automatically remove redundant nodes in the Topology error and automatically check the Modified check box in the Errors list.
Caution:
- You need to check Redundant node object when checking Data to automatically modify according to Errors. After
- using this function, another Build Topological Relationship is required.
S-58 - information: displays information such as Error number, Error level, Errors, and check content of the selected error item according to the S58 data standard.
- Check DataErrors can be exported as *.xml files. Click the Export button on the toolbar to pop up the Export the check result dialog box.
- Click the Check Items Drop-down Button
- in the dialog box, and select the results to be exported.
- At Save path, set the export *.xml file save path and save name.
- Select the Append export check box to append and export the Data checking information to the existing *.xml file.
- You can Check DataData Information Import File to a currently open editable group. Click the Import button on the toolbar to pop up the Import the check results dialog box, select the Import files of the import files on the dialog box, and click the OK button to import the Errors of Check Data.
- Modify the data according to the error Prompt in the S58 message until the Check Data is error-free, so that the Chart Data can be exchanged and transmitted in accordance with international standards.
