Create a Collection Object

Instructions for use

Collection Object is a type of object used to describe the relationship between objects. It can refer to other objects other than itself and express the relationship between these objects. Therefore, Collection Object only has feature information but not Spatial Info. In SuperMap charts, Collection Objects are stored using a pure attribute table, and a Collection Object corresponds to one of the records. The Collection Object is stored in a pure attribute table because it does not have a spatial relationship. The association between the Collection Object and its reference object is stored in the attribute table.

According to the ENC product specification, both "Collection Object" (C _ AGGR) and "Association Object" (C _ ASSO) can be used, and the creation of "Context Object" (C _ STAC ") is not allowed. And the collective feature object and the associated feature object are only allowed to express an equivalent relationship.

Set Feature Object: Used to indicate the aggregation of two or more object objects by "Yes … …" Part of "," by.. A number of object objects are combined into an advanced object object by means of "composition" and so on. For example, traffic separation schemes, traffic separation and boundaries are combined to form a traffic zone; for example, a wharf with the same name in a chart is often composed of multiple wharfs.

Associated Feature Object: It is used to indicate the association relationship between two or more object objects, for example, a buoy marks a sunken ship.

The creation operation of collection object mark is basically the same as that of Related objects. The following is an example of creating the collection object mark for the lane separation and boundary object of the lane separation system to describe the specific operation of Aggregation creation in detail:

Operation steps

  1. With the Editable Chart Group open in Chart Data editing mode, on the Map tab, in the Relationship Management "group, click the Aggregation button. The Combined Relationship Management "panel pops up.
  2. Click the Add Drop-down Button on the panel toolbar and select the collection object mark "option to create a set (C _ AGGR) Tabular Dataset. Used to store the collection object mark object record.
  3. There are two ways to add the reference object mark of the object mark relation of the combined feature, one is Add from Select Objects, and the other is Add from dataset:
    • Add from Select Objects: Select the traffic separation scheme and boundary objects to create an Aggregation in the chart, and click the button on the toolbar. The Add the selected objects from map "dialog box appears. The "Select object on map" list lists all the selected Object Abbreviation and long names in the chart, selects the lane separation and the lane separation boundary object in turn, and clicks the button. Adds the selected object on the left to the Select Result "list on the right.
    • Figure: Create Feature Dataset Dialog
    • Add from dataset: Click the button on the toolbar to pop up the "Add from dataset" dialog box. Click the Drop-down Button on the right side of the Object Abbreviation ", select TSSLPT _ R and TSSBND _ LDataset in turn, select the subject object in the list on the left side, and click the button. Add the traffic separation scheme lane and the traffic separation scheme boundary object to the Select Result "list in turn.
    • Figure: Create Feature Dataset Dialog
  4. Click the "OK" button in the dialog box to add the target in the "Select Result" "as the reference target of the assembly feature target.
  5. Click the Apply button in the panel to complete the creation of the set feature object relationship. A Collection Tabular Dataset is added under the Chart Group.
