Edit the object object

Instructions for use

Object Editing is a common operation of Geometry. When drawing a chart, it is often necessary to modify the Spatial Info of some objects. For example, it is necessary to Compose as one object the surface data of multiple water depth ranges to facilitate unified operation. If there is a gap between adjacent objects, the object boundary can be updated by adding the node function through Edit Node. product provides 15 common editing functions, which bring great convenience to data processing. The Chart Edit module provides the following 15 Object Editing functions:

  • Edit Node: The node of the currently selected Geometry can be edited, mainly including Add Node, Move Node and Delete Node, so as to change the shape and position of the Geometry.
  • Break: Used to break a line object into a new object. After the break operation, the two newly generated line objects are temporarily displayed in different colors to distinguish them.
  • Resampling: When there are too many nodes on the boundary line of a line object or a face object, resample it to remove some nodes while trying to maintain the shape of the line.
  • Smooth: The smooth function mainly smoothes the boundary line of the line object or face object, so that the polyline is transformed into a continuous smooth line object.
  • Line Split: Divide a line or face object by a temporary split line drawn. All selected line or face objects crossed by the temporary split line are split.
  • Polygon Split: Split a face or Region by drawing a temporary split face. The drawn temporary splitting face splits all the selected line or face objects that it crosses.
  • Connector: You can connect two or more simple line objects into one line object. There are two connection modes: Connect End-to-End and Adjacent Point Connection.
  • Direction change: The direction change function can change the line direction of the selected line object.
  • Merge: You can Compose as one object multiple face objects or line objects, and the Attributes will be consistent with the Object Properties to which they are merged.
  • Erase: used to delete the part of the Target (erased object) that overlaps with the erased object.
  • Intersect: You can get the common part of two or more objects. An intersection operation that creates a new object by operating on a common region or edge of two or more objects of the same geometric type (faces or lines). The common area of multiple objects is preserved and the rest is removed.
  • Exclusive-or: You can remove the common part of two or more objects and Compose as one object the rest.
  • Combination: The combination function combines any objects (line objects or face objects of the same type or different types) in the current layer into a Compound. Note: When there is an inclusion relationship between the combined face objects, the result is the same as that of Donut Polygon. The island of the face object is clockwise, and the hole is counterclockwise.
  • Explode: Explode one or more complex objects or Compounds. The result of the decomposition can be a single object or a complex object.
  • Protective Decomposition: Decompose one or more complex objects or compounds. The result of decomposition will retain the island holes in the complex objects or compounds. Decompose the objects that are not related to the island holes. The specific operation is consistent with the decomposition operation.
