Bshade Estimation

Instructions for use

Bshade Estimation is a BShade spatial sampling model for the Statistical Inference process with biased samples.

Function entrance

  • Toolbox-> Spatial Statistical Analysis-> Spatial Sampling and Statistical Inference-> Bshade Estimation. (iDesktopX)

Parameter Description

  • Source Data: Set the Dataset for BShadeStatistical Inference and its Datasource. The following case shows the morbidity data of 5 hospitals (sample) this year.
  • Historical Data: The specified Historical Data set and its Datasource. The following case shows the morbidity data of 19 hospitals last year.
  • Parameter Settings
  • Source Dataset Field: The specified Source Dataset data Field. In the following case, 5 fields are checked for recording the data of 5 hospitals in the sample.

Historical Data Field: The specified Historical Data set data field. In the following case, 19 fields are checked for recording the data of 19 hospitals in the last year.

  • Estimation method: BShade estimation method. The aggregate method is based on the ratio of the sample to the population, and the mean method is based on the ratio of the sample mean to the population mean.
  • Result Data: Set Result Dataset and its Datasource.
  • Click the Execute button to execute the prepared analysis function. After the execution completed, the Output Window will prompt whether the Result succeeds or fails.

Application case

The daily incidence rate of a disease in a certain area in a certain month of this year needs to be predicted. The existing Historical Data of the incidence rate of the designated hospital in this area and the daily incidence rate data of the five hospitals sampled by BShade in this month of this year can be used to predict the daily total number of the disease in this period according to the BShade prediction function.

  • Case Data: Click here to download < a class = "contentpage hyperlink" href = "./data/BShadeData. Zip" "=" "> Case data for BShade sampling and Download and unzip it. Hospital _ Case _ Historical is the historical incidence rate data of all hospitals in the region, and Sentinel _ Case is the daily incidence rate data of 5 sample hospitals.
  • Parameter Settings: After downloading the above case data, open the BShadeData. Udbx on the desktop, perform Parameter Settings as shown in the following figure, and execute BShade prediction analysis.
  • Result description: The daily incidence rate of the disease in a certain period of time in the region is predicted as shown in the figure below:
