Change Dataset
Feature Description
Allows reassigning the associated datasource or dataset for the current layer or map, supporting batch operations. This is particularly useful when importing the same map template across different workspaces, enabling reassignment of datasets from multiple distinct datasources.
Feature Entry
- Workspace Manager->Existing Map Context Menu->Change Dataset.
- Layer Manager->Select one or multiple datasets Context Menu->Change Dataset.
- Map Context Menu->Change Dataset.
Steps
- In the Layer Manager, right-click on the layer(s) requiring dataset changes (multiple layers can be selected using Shift/Ctrl), then click the Change Dataset option;
- In the Change Dataset dialog, you can either configure datasets individually per layer or apply uniform settings to multiple layers:
- When reassigning data for a single layer: Click the drop-down button beside Datasource for the target layer, select the datasource containing the desired dataset. If the datasource contains a dataset with identical name to the original, automatic association occurs; otherwise manual selection is required.
- For batch datasource reassignment: Select multiple layers and click the Uniform Settings button. Complete datasource configuration in the subsequent Uniform Settings dialog.
- Click OK to finalize the dataset reassignment configuration.

When multiple layers need to be assigned to datasets within the same datasource, only one layer's dataset needs to be specified - the system will automatically match other layers' associated datasets.
When workspace and datasource absolute paths change, specifying one dataset will trigger automatic matching of other datasets and datasources.
