Modify Image Pyramid
For imagery or raster datasets that have already built pyramids, you can re-create an image pyramid using the Modify Image Pyramid function.
Access the modify image pyramid function through the following entries. For parameters, please refer to Create an Image Pyramid.
- Start tab -> Data Processing group -> Image Pyramid.
- Imagery tab -> General Data Processing group -> Image Pyramid.
- Workspace Manager -> context menu of an imagery (or raster) dataset -> Modify Image Pyramid.
Delete the Image Pyramid
You can delete the image pyramid for imagery and raster datasets that have one. However, for image files opened as a data source (such as data in TIFF or IMG format), you cannot perform the delete image pyramid operation.
Access the delete image pyramid function through the following entries. For parameters, please refer to Create an Image Pyramid.
- Start tab -> Data Processing group -> Image Pyramid.
- Imagery tab -> General Data Processing group -> Image Pyramid.
- Workspace Manager -> context menu of an imagery (or raster) dataset -> Delete the Image Pyramid.
Tip:- The Image Pyramid button is only available when there is an open data source in the current workspace.
- You cannot delete the pyramid for image files added via the file method. Please directly delete the *.ovr file corresponding to the image file's location.
