Manage Workspace

Supports managing workspaces, including the following operations:

    1. Save Workspace

    2. Save Workspace As

    3. Close Workspace

    4. Delete Workspace

Save Workspace

Saves the current workspace and the operation results in the workspace. The following are two methods to save a workspace:

  • Start Tab->Workspace Group->Save
  • Workspace Manager Panel->Workspace node context menu->Save Workspace

Note: You must save all operation results to the current workspace before saving the workspace itself. The specific steps are as follows:

  1. Save operations in the workspace: When there is unsaved content in the workspace, clicking Save will pop up the Save dialog, listing unsaved maps and GPA, with all unsaved items selected by default.
  2. Save Workspace: Click the Save button in the Save dialog to complete the saving of the workspace.
  3. If the workspace is a new workspace, the Save Workspace As dialog will appear after the above operation. You need to set the following parameters:
    • Workspace file: The file catalog where the workspace is saved.
    • Workspace password: You can set a password for the workspace. When reopening the workspace, you must enter the password set during this save operation.
    • Workspace version: The version for saving the workspace, providing SuperMap UGC 6.0 and SuperMap UGC 7.0 versions.

Save Workspace As

Uses Save Workspace As to save the current workspace as a new workspace, preserving new or unchanged modifications without altering the original workspace.

The following are two methods to save workspace as:

  • Start Tab->Workspace Group->File Dropdown->Save Workspace As
  • Workspace Manager Panel->Workspace node context menu->Save Workspace As

Close Workspace

In the Workspace Manager, select the workspace node, and choose Close Workspace from the context menu to close the current workspace.

When performing the Close Workspace operation, if there is no unsaved content in the current workspace, it will close directly. If there is unsaved content, a dialog will prompt the user to save it. Click No to close without saving, or click Yes to save the current workspace. After closing the open workspace, will open an empty workspace by default.

Delete Workspace

In the Workspace Manager, select the workspace node, and choose DeleteWorkspace from the context menu to delete the current database workspace in the data library.

Notes:

The Delete Workspace feature can only be used when opening an existing database workspace in the open database.
