Feature Description
Digital Orthophoto Map (DOM), referred to as orthophoto, is an image dataset generated by vertically projecting aerial or aerospace imagery of the Earth's surface. During the vertical projection process, the system eliminates geometric distortions caused by factors such as terrain undulations and camera tilt, giving the orthophoto uniform geometric accuracy. At the same time, orthophotos can be seamlessly overlaid with maps, vector data, etc., providing reliable support for precise spatial analysis and measurement. Generate orthophoto is the process of outputting these processed image datasets.
This function is only used for the generate orthophoto operation in the UAV data processing workflow.
SuperMap ImageX Pro Starting from the 2026 version.
Function Entry
UAV Data Processing Workflow tab -> Imagery group -> Generate Orthophoto.
Parameter description
| Parameter Name | parameter interpretation | parameter type |
| Ground Resolution | Sets the ground resolution of the resulting DOM, in m/px. The default value is 0. When the value is 0, it is automatically calculated. | Double |
| Based on Best View |
Specifies whether to use the Thiessen polygon (Voronoi) algorithm to automatically calculate the effective contribution area of each image.
|
Boolean |
| Output format | Sets the storage type of the result image. Provides four options: Not Set, Tiff/GeoTIFF, Erdas Image and PCIDSK. The default is Tiff/GeoTIFF, which means using the original storage type of the image for output. | FileType |
| Compression method | Available only when Output format is Tiff/GeoTIFF. The default is NONE. For more method introductions, please refer to Compression method. | CompressMethod |
Output Result
Result orthophoto image data.
