The Data Beautification panel provides asset settings, material editing, and more to provide the foundation for GIS data beautification themes.
Click Data Beautification to pop up the Data Beautification Settings panel, where you can perform operations such as vector dataset, layer, material replacement, and material export.
Vector data sets with assets hanging
Used to set up plug-in assets for 3D point, line, and polygon datasets. This function is mainly used in GIS data beautification theme. The procedure is as follows:
- Click Data Beautification -> Asset Settings -> Vector Dataset to pop up the Vector Dataset Plug-in Asset Settings panel.
- Select the corresponding dataset layer from the drop-down menu after Layer Selection.
- From the drop-down menu after Associated Fields, select the attribute field that the dataset has as the associated field for the asset.
- Select the appropriate asset type as required: sketch, lofting or style.
- Each attribute value of the attribute field will be displayed in the attribute table. You need to paste the reference path of the asset to the corresponding attribute value position.
Layer Settings Plug-in Assets
Used to set the material for the layer where the specified *.scp data is located(The data itself is required to be selected, so tilt photography data is not supported). After the setting is completed, all objects in the layer will use the set material. This function is mainly used in GIS data beautification theme. The procedure is as follows:
- Click Data Beautification -> Asset Settings -> Vector Dataset to pop up the Vector Dataset Plug-in Asset Settings panel.
- Select the layer corresponding to the *.scp data from the drop-down menu after Layer Selection.
- Click the option box after material replacement, pop-up
Material replacement
Used to replace the material of objects in building white model, city fine model, BIM data stored in scp file with specified Unreal Engine material. This feature is mainly used in GIS data beautification topics. The procedure is as follows:
- Click Data Beautification -> Material Edit -> Material Replace to pop up the Material Replace Settings panel.
- Left-click to select an object in the scene to replace the material, and the original material name appears in the panel.
- Dragging an Unreal Engine material into the Material Replace box replaces the existing material with the selected material.
- If the selected material is a material from Twinmotion, you can adjust the zoom ratio in the text by adjusting the UV tiling factor in the panel.
- After the replacement is complete, click Save to save the replacement result in the default path project folder/Content/SceneInfos/level folder/sceneInfos.json file. When you run the level again, the replaced effect will be displayed directly.
- Clicking Cancel clears the effect of material substitution in the scene.
- In order to ensure that the Material Replacement option works properly, you need to select UE Material as the material type when generating s3m data in iDesktopX or iDesktop to get the material name of the data correctly.
- Before you can use the Material Substitution feature, you need to turn on collision detection in the SuperMap Editor tool controls.
Material export
Materials used to export beautified model data. This function is mainly used in GIS data beautification theme. The procedure is as follows:
- Click Data Beautification -> Material Edit -> Material Export to pop up the Material Export Settings panel.
- Check the data layer for the exported material in the layer list.
- Customize the texture size of exported materials according to your needs.
- After setting, click OK to add a record to the data configuration file (*.scp):"associateMaterialurl":" ./ MaterialPackages/LayerInfo.json"}
- At the same time, in the sibling directory of the data profile (*.scp), a MaterialPackages folder is generated, which contains the LayerInfo.json file and exported materials.
- Clicking Cancel clears the parameters of the Material Export settings in the panel.
Drawing Dynamic Water Surface
After the function is turned on, the dynamic water surface attached to the ground can be drawn quickly and in real time. This feature is mainly used in GIS data beautification topics.
